Toluna Review

Tоlunа iѕ оnе оf thе lаrgеѕt аnd wеll-knоwn раid ѕurvеу ѕitеѕ around, and has bееn in business for 17+ years, and operating in 62 different соuntriеѕ! They conduct polls and surveys for their clients, which are typically large businesses, advertising agencies, or product suppliers. The Toluna online community consists of 4 million panelists, making it the largest online community in the World! You can give your opinion through various surveys and earn points which can then be exchanged for either physical rewards or gift cards.

How does Toluna work?

As compared to many scam survey sites that ask for a membership fee, Toluna is totally free to join and your credit card details won’t be needed to start taking a single survey! You start accumulating points as soon as you fill out your profile and then by doing some surveys sent to you. The only requirements are an active email address and a few profile questionnaires that will allow them to match you with suitable surveys and panels. Surveys have a wide range of required timeframes, with some of the longer surveys lasting upwards of 20 minutes. However, it is important to note that the earnings scale with the required time, so longer surveys pay better than the short 2-3 minute surveys.

In an effort to provide an unbiased review of Toluna, I’ve outline some Pro’s and Con’s below:

Pros:
  • Free to join
  • User friendly website
  • An established company
  • Available in multiple languages
  • Mobile and tablet friendly
  • Great online community
  • Product surveys from well-respected companies like Disney, Kellogg’s, Expedia, and more!!
Cons:
  • Hard to quality for some surveys
  • Points can be slow to accumulate and the minimum claim is 20,000 points (country dependent)
  • Insufficient training and support
Is Toluna a scam or legit?

Just like every other survey panel, while it’s free to join Toluna, you will be trading your time to earn those points. I have found that several times I started to take a survey, only to be disqualified in the middle of it. While there are plenty of survey sites that have this same issue, it doesn’t make it any less frustrating! In addition, there have been several users who have complained that their points weren’t credited to their account as expected. To be fair, I have not had this issue myself, but I don’t want to discount the experiences that other users have had on the site.

Those issues aside, Toluna is certainly NOT a scam. As mentioned, Toluna will never ask for your credit card information, and the site is always free to use. There are many public testimonials available to document the various prizes and rewards that people have earned on the site. While the withdrawal times are sometimes slow (due to the large volume of users), it’s important to note that the opinions you provide here are doing a great public service and your voice may even impact a product you buy in the future!

How much have you made with Toluna?
